The subject says it all.

I have an old GMail account which has almost 800 contacts stashed away.  Almost none of that was my doing, it’s GMail being smart for me.  I appreciate that, but I wanted to purge the list.  Since there’s no feature to just do that, I needed to view the list, select all and delete.

But I can’t.

The functionality is there.  Visiting the contact list is hard, and I sometimes hang right there, but my computer always strains when I’m actually trying to select some/all and delete contacts.  I once deleted a handful and then it hung afterwards.

I bet it works just fine in Google Chrome.
